Many riders dream of tackling the Montenegro Mountain Madness route outside of race week — and every year, we get asked for GPX tracks, trail conditions, water sources, resupply tips, and the best time to ride. Instead of answering one by one, we’ve put it all together here.
The Route Guide gives you the complete MMM experience without the race clock: the official GPX track and a detailed Adventure Manual that helps you navigate remote mountains, unpredictable weather, and the raw landscapes of Montenegro.
We offer two options:
Digital Package — 50 € — CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE
You’ll receive the Adventure Manual (digital) and the GPX file of the full route.
Bundle Package — 100 €
You’ll receive the digital Adventure Manual and GPX file, plus a physical package to collect at the start of your ride: a printed Adventure Manual, a musette (light shopping bag), and a MMM t-shirt (shipping available on request, costs calculated per country).

Do I need to join the race to ride the route?
Short answer: no! The Route Guide is for riders who want to take on MMM outside of race week, solo or with friends.
Can I ride only part of the route?
Yes! The GPX covers the full loop, but you can ride selected sections if you prefer.
Will the GPX and Manual be updated?
The files are up to date at the time of purchase, but we don’t provide further updates.
How is this different from just downloading a GPX I found online?
GPX routes floating around online are often unverified, outdated, or simply wrong — and in Montenegro, that can mean serious problems. Some areas are affected by seasonal closures, washed-out trails, or even old minefields.
